this is hands down one of the best themes I have seen so far.even if it is a gadget

But im having problems getting the shortcuts to save the name changes... changed Translator to IExplore and it always reverts back to Translator upon restart...the actual short cut is saved tho...on an update could you please add the ability to be moved? i run at 1280x1024 and would appreciate the ability to center it

As you can see in the screen shot, I have modified the current wall to compensate but it would look better if centered

Nevermind, seems to be working now. I uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times with the above results, so I made a comment. Just uninstalled and reinstalled again, just for kicks, and now it works.

Sorry friends,
but I "fight" with Vista Ultimate now. I'm off line and my computer is clear from any Stardock programs...

So I can't help you right  now. Give me please some time to finish migration.

Good luck with the new computer and Vista! I moved to 64 bit Vista Enterprise earlier this summer because of work. It's been a challenge in some respects, but I'm getting along OK.

I don't know if it's possible or not, but I'd love to have a version of this desktop that I could edit the scripts. For instance, the e-mail and calendar functionality are great to have on the desktop, but I use Exchange as my e-mail and calendaring server, because of work.

Hope your new gear doesn't give you too many fits!

Truly superb; you should be proud.

I have 2 minor criticisms..........

(1) A more flexible colour setting would be appreciated. Modern graphics cards allow millions of colours. You give us only 9.

(2) The word "alarming" doesn't mean what you think it means. Shorten it to "alarm".

I think we all forget what a really great life we all have in this country, so we down load this awesome piece of work, from and ARTIST like you and all we seam to do is com plane. If your having trouble with your it then take the initiative and try to fix it yourself. Vad M is an artist in the truest sence, driven by political up heavel and totally misunderstood by his peers.Vad m. I salute you and am totally humbled by your ability to to create such awesome work and still have the strength to get up every morning and face what you have to face each and every day. Your family is in our prayers every night and we pray for your safety as well. Thank you for theses small glimpses into your life and the mind of a true artiste'

Thank you for your hot words!

Yes. The situation in my country is not good. However we work on Impeachment for our damn president now. This mad person must go away (and I hope he will go into the nearest prison). As well we work on a new laws that will finally establish true democracy in Ukraine. So I think that all will be good around me much soon.

Hi!
This project truly shows the endless possibilities Desktop X has and is a reminder that although we have seen so many great looking suites & themed packages come into the archives, we have'nt yet seen a full and well balanced blended merge with highly talented and creative programming skills and very detailed colorful art design. Certainly the reason is because the learning curve is so great in both areas as well as the time necessary to produce fine work. This piece appears off center on my screen right now, but I completely see past it and am giving huge congratulations in recognizing the great coding going on here. This is one of a kind! I do hope some other folks who have the "skinning talents" can help out this projects "coding talent" and use it to set a new precedent and standard into what is considered complete suites and themes. I know I may want too much, but I am a willing paying customer for those who produce. Can you imagine interactive "start menu's" and "windows folders" like this? I think some truly great things are just on the horizon and the full blown world of customizing windows hasn't yet come. Thanks for your time on this and I like that your work is free for now.
WOW!

I love this!

I am having a problem, though. The network portion does not seem to recognize my network connection. It doesn't report any connecte network adapters or statistics, and when I try some of the other network features, like weather, it tells me I don't have a network connection.

I'm on 64 bit Vista Enterprise, and use wireless as my network connection. The connection is working just fine.

I have no Vista yet. Hope that I'll buy it together with new computer before this Wednesday. It will be IBM ThinkPad T-61p with Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Then I'll try to do something with this.

Sorry but I can't guarantee you the good results because I always use LAN or Dial Up and never any other network connections. However I'll try...

Best Regards

I hooked up to a wired connection, and network functions still don't work.

I haven't ever used DesktopX, so I don't know what your hooks into the system are, but I'd guess that they're different somehow in 64 bit Vista, or that they're being blocked somehow by security settings on my machine. Everything else seems to be working OK.

I did notice that the taskbar automatically chooses a larger (taller) size, I think because of the system tray icons being larger. I can force it to use the smaller size, with WindowBlinds, but the system tray icons don't get smaller, and they don't fit in the smaller system tray area.

Have fun with your new computer! I'll look forward to any tips you might have on troubleshooting the network stuff!
