It looks beautiful. But i use vista 64 sp1 and it will not run. I hope you create a update for the "sirius" theme.

I think the gadgets created by DX also do not like SP1 RTM. I can download gadgets from Live and they run fine. All gadgets I download from here do not, they crash. They ran previous to my recent update to SP1.

DesktopX doesn't currently support Vista 64bit. When it is updated, I will re-export my gadgets.

To find the code for your city and country simply use the weather.com website to locate your city and country and the code will appear in the address bar (i.e. Bristol, UK is shown as http://www.weather.com/weather/hugme/UKXX0025?showloc=true so the code will be UKXX0025 which you enter into the gadget. SImple!

I loved these on Vista 32-bit, I hope they finally make them work for Vista x64 ... all I get now is "Problem accessing DesktopX Sidebar-framework. Please click here." ... and the link goes to an invalid page. (

Indeed after this many years of 64bit it's time to stop messing around!

Frodo, I don't know the techincal details behind it. I can tell you I used DesktopX Professional to export these as Vista sidebar gadgets. How DX accomplishes that is beyond me.

I just wanted to know if your Sirus Sidebar Weather, Calendar and Clock are completely autonomous Vista Sidebar Gadgets, as the ones we can load and install from Microsoft site?

I’m asking that (stupid?) question because, once installed in Windows (and even if they are not actually added to the sidebar), they will appear in DexktopX control panel. Even if they appear there, no real configuration option is available from there. This is not the case with gadgets picked up from Microsoft site, which do not appear in DesktopX.

Furthermore, I get various error messages when uninstalling them from Microsoft Sidebar control panel itself. This again doesn’t happen with the gadgets picked up from Microsoft site.

Can this be related to the program used to generate those gadgets?
