You missed skinning the please wait dialog. For the special shell style you have an error for control panel, it will not open in or switch to category view. Get a parse error line 1.

I will have to try it.

I have run into that 'parse error line 1' before with the 'Clear One skin' but I didn't know what caused it. Thanks Cavan.

My first impression is that it is simple, clean, a little nostalgic, and well done. I'll let you know more after I play around with it. Good first skin, though!

Very good,

I like, In the all programs part of start menu the green and blue mixture is great. The red and blues are nice.

could do with some more work on buttons, ...also for you 1st update a very minor bug... hover over the close button it changes red (nice) but it is then 1px off from the right border (look closely)

Nice start!

This is an excellent first effort. I'm using this thing at work and that says a lot because I'm extremely picky on what I use for work. The only thing that I think you should look at besides the stuff already listed is that for some reason tabs within Eclipse are black with white text. I use Eclipse for my job and the tabs accross the top of the IDE workspace are all black with white text. I'm not a skinner myself so I don't know if this was on purpose or maybe some component that didn't get a color assigned to it or whatever. I just thought I'd let you know. Also, I'd like a non-compact subskin.

Anyhow, I really like your sense of style and the colors that you've selected. This is a very pleasant skin to look at and it just works well. It's a great blend of simplicity and elegance. I really really like it. You need to keep developing this talent of yours because I could see you turning out some awesome stuff in the future. You rock.

Congrats for your first skin, I like it very much!
I would like to see a non-compact start menu version though.

Thanks fellwo Wincustomizers, I have an update coming soon with the buttons fixed, flashing toolbar, and the dialogs skinned.

ERICDRUM: I am not sure about the black, but it is most likely that the program that you spoke of does not support transparent tabs...maybe...I am not sure. And yes I will make a few substyles; maybe a new shellstyle.

Hey RJ, I love this skin the more I use it. Keep on tweeking it! Anyhow, all other skins apply color to the tab in Eclipse. Without WB running there's a gradient (top to bottom) on the tab. Many of the higher end skins, like those from MikeB or KoL, will have the skins color applied as a gradient. Most skins turned out by the ametuers (no disrepect whatsoever) will still have a color from the theme applied, but I don't see a gradient. Anyhow, when I get home tonight, I'll post some screenshots FYI. I don't expect you to go fixing this or anything, I've just never seen the tab be black, so I was wondering if there was something inadvertantly omitted. I can't wait for the update.

If you are feeling super hardcore, you can go to eclipse.org and download it (100MB). You don't have to install it, you just put on your local drive somewhere and run it from the file system directly. It's super light weight.

Super skin, crisp, clear, practical and fully usable on a day-to-day basis.

Just one comment on top of above is that I can't read any tooltips, they are white on light beige. The colours need to be of higher contrast. Also, you don't appear to have set the height of toolbars correctly and the bottom few pixels are getting overdrawn by the main window (for example, see Stardock Central). Thanks for your hard work.

That toolbar thing has been annoying me since I started. I can't get it to look right, but I will keep trying. Thinks for the pointers

rjsmith this does look awesome and I'm especially pleased by the blue colors used in the taskbar and window border. I agree with ericdrum , I would like a non-compact start menu version where both columns can fit the icons and program titles.

When I highligh text, the font color changes to white. Would you mind changing the highlight color to something darker?

Here's what the window borders look like in Mirc

And in Photoshop

Perhaps it's the same issue with Eclipse?
