isomerboy: That button in the titlebar is not an issue with the skin. It is Windows Media Player which doesn't play by the normal rules for windows apps.

I love the skin, BUT a few simple notes.
Application grids will no longer display the lines.
Drop down combo button matches to the text input boxes.

In the original version, the page received a different subtle tint, depending upon the substyle chosen. In this version, every substyle has an identical subtle tint (aqua, turquoise, blue-green, whatever you want to call it.) What was your thinking behind this change? A change in your taste, a change in skin fashion? On the surface at least, the change seems like a change backwards (as opposed to being a "plus" version).

[I'm not optimisitic about getting a response. Do skin artists avoid explaining their rationales and aesthetic theories because they are safeguarding trade secrets, because they are unreflective, because they are above talking to non-skinners, or what?)

If you go Display:Appearance:Advance:Other Advanced Controls, and click on the white page area, you can set the coloration for the page. Using Windowblinds, this color is set by the skin. In Skin Studio, it can be set by going to the "Classic Colors" tab and clicking on the "Background page" in the preview. You set this value differenly in Alysseum and Alysseum Plus. In Alysseum, the value is a faint version of the substyle's basic hue. In Plus, the value is a faint aqua.

Now do you know what I'm talking about?

The desktop Color... you can set that however you want, I don't see what the issue is...

Great skin, but...
I have no shadows under menus... Is it a bug? Or is something wrong with my WB?

Thank you for a great skin. I also find the user pic panel an eyesore, whoever in microsoft came up with that brain child obviously has an identity problem.

This is now my default skin. I'm doing a modified version of Charger substyle. Smaller scrollbars, darker fonts, menus with shadows... and of course a litestep theme.

Thank you Gabriel for this awesome skin.

Hi,
this is my new default skin but let me say something on it:
(+) no shadows on windows so I can use Y'z shadow (I like the way it drops shadows more than some built-in skins do)
(+) Really thin title-bar
(+) Citron!!!
(-) User pic panel on Start menu (I put the bar on top of the screen)
(-) On the readme you should write that ClearType has to be used
(-) I like grid lines on some programs, with your skin they are almost invisible
(-) A little bit narrow scrollbar would be better

Finally I hope on a future release with some glow (and more visible) effects on window buttons.

Great Skin!

No, as I said: Display:Appearance:Advance:Other Advanced Controls. These are different variables. Desktop color is the color of the desktop when no wallpaper is set--a default wallpaper color. The variable I'm talking about--the color of the background window is what it's called in SkinStudio--is the color of a page in an application. Like if you open MS Word, in your latest version of Alysseum the page will be grayed from the default maximum brigtness and also made very slightly aquamarine. This is done the same way in all your plus skins. It was done differently in the original Alysseum. There the page was darkened--that's the same--but the tint depended on the substyle.

Page color depends on the skin. You can set it from Advanced Appearance (NOT from "Desktop"), but on a reboot it will revert to the skin's value. It is much more an integral part of the skin than is the Desktop color.

I got a small problem with these. I'm going to fix it tommorow. Now the menus are without shadows.
