Looks ok from the screen shot. Ill give it a go, thanks dude.

I'll let you know how i get on....

*************************************************

Yeh, works well.
But, personally, the start button is very basic lookin. And also the blue colour for the taskbar buttons seems a little light for the whole look of the blind. And no glow buttons (which i can live without). Great for a first try, look forward to seeing some new stuff from you.

thanks for the awesome feedback,
you're right about the start button,
I just don't have a clue as to how to make something decent looking, I spent more time on that start button than anything else in this windowblind and after a dozen attempts, I stuck with something basic and let it be

Don't know anything about glow buttons (but it sounds interesting), the taskbar buttons were meant to be a contrast to the gloss black, they were originally the same color as the task bar but I found I needed something to stick out, so I went with the blue, hopefully it's not too bright

Yes, my first try is out of the gates ,
already working on my second one, it will use the same min, max, close window buttons but will be more colorful without being over the top.

thanks again for trying out my first windowblind project!

Very nice skin, although I agree glow buttons would make it even better. I also personally like transparency in places, but thats just me. (its the reason I bought WB5) But for example, the start menu and/or taskbar I think would look good slightly transparent. I have tried myself adding transparency to skins but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Overall it looks very good, especially for being your first skin.

I just found a problem with the control panel, there is white text on a white background so you can't see the text.

I'll check out the control panel text to see what the problem is, thanks for the heads up on this.

Jordan I have confirmed what you're saying. If you view the contents of the Control Panel using Category View, white text will be displayed on a white background, the icons still show up and holding your mouse cursor over each icon will reveal the title in black. I will work on an update to fix this.

Note: If you view the contents of the control panel using Classic View (which I use which is why I missed this, sorry about that), the text shows up fine, no white text on white bkgrnd problem. Use the classic view while operating in the control panel if you are using this skin. Again, sorry about this bug, I will work on an update and release it asap.

Hi Jordan, I will look up a glow button & transparency tutorial for windowblinds and see what I can do.
I'm still very inexperienced when it comes to using skinstudio and all of it's great functionality, glow buttons & transparency certainly sound like awesome features to add to a windowblinds skin, I'll hit the books and see what I can do.

Thanks again for the positive feedback and for pointing out that text color error, I'm working on another windowblinds project and I will definitely test out the text setting in the control panel's category & classic view in my future skins.

Mr Bhoy2253, you need to download & install windowblinds, you can pick up a fully functional 60 day trial of the software from http://www.download.com/WindowBlinds/3000-2326_4-10026826.html
- download & install the software (can't remember if it requires a reboot), once it's running you will notice a system tray icon appear, that means the windowblinds service is running, after that all you need to do is download the windowblind skins shown on this site, once you've downloaded them, windowblinds will automatically save them in the correct location, provide you with an interface for swapping the built in windows classic interface with the windowblind skins.

If you don't have windowblinds software installed & running, you won't be able to use any of these windowblind skin downloads. Verify this first and then start downloading & installing these skins. Let me know if any of this helped.

If you see it again sometime, can you take a screenshot and email it to me?
