The icons on the Win7 desktop are a fairly old set called 'Smooth Metal' by Rokey (with a hasty Vista folders addition by me).
Note that the 'search for more stuff' link in the text is wrong. It should be this:

re wallpapers: correct - although it should resize the 1600x1200 one ok (i.e. the 4:3 ratio one). If it's really looking poor, drop me an email.

There is a substyle with a cross hairs start button, which matches more with the name.
Looks good on 7 (had to change the font color on the clock text though, to make it readable).
