the objects seem very 'thin' rather than fully dimensional, as though they were only thin sheet metal. also, since the shading effect is applied uniformly to both the foreground objects and the background, it tends to suggest the objects are contoured through the plane of the image.

You are by far my favorite artist (author) here. I love your work. It is imaginative and beautiful. You use of colors, reflections, and shadow make wonderful skins. Keep up the great work...I will be watching!!....
