Why don't we have an edit button?

Because we really need one.

For people like me who regret what they type in the forums immediately after pressing the submit post button, there should be an edit button so that we're able to edit what we typed. Is it being considered in ANY future updates? Or was it just a dream I had?

I doubt many people will agree, but for one, I always seem to press the submit button too early...

Usually there is, but there's a bug roaming around that the edit button doesn't show up right after you post, but it will appear a few mins later.

So should I refresh the page, or wait for it to appear by itself?

Yeah just refresh it...that is assuming someone else hasn't already posted after you. Then you're screwed.

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. Just what I needed.

Pixeleo marches off to fetch his big, scary axe and runs after the person who posted after him.

Yep it you get to edit it will only be before someone else posts.

sometimes when you're editing then try to save the edit, it's too late.

Why?? Oh why, I ask you, O God of Forums, why did you make the truth so unbearable?

So, meaning it's too late

Even if noone has posted after you , you can only edit for the first 10 minutes after your post.

Or so I've read anyways.

I always wish there is a "preview" button next to the "post reply" button.

There was at one point, at least for the articles, but now it's "disabled."

Heh, I just found a workaround for the missing edit button.

Right after you submit your post, you'll get a url that specifies your post at the end.

Example:

https://forums.wincustomize.com/314448/page/1/#1761607

Then just change it to

https://forums.wincustomize.com/reply/edit/1761607

And it should bring you to the edit screen.
